I had a troubled childhood

Katlego Supang is a 23 years old young woman hailing from Tamasane Village in Mosojane Ward. There she stayed with her family consisting of her aunt and siblings before moving to the city of Gaborone.

Ms Supang passionately opened up about her troubled childhood after the death of her mother in an interview with Made for the Hustle Blogger at her workplace on the 3rd of September 2019. She said that she was only seven years old when her mother died, got raised by her aunt who was kind, but ended being bully on her. she also quoted that at times she thinks about her late mother who took care of her. "I sometimes slept without eating nothing, as well as going to school", said Ms Supang.
She continued by saying that in life, we think everything is smooth, but there are difficulties and challenges. Her father was not there to give her comfort throughout her life struggles while still alive until he died, which brought her too much pain. In her heart, she always wished that one day, she will find one who will give her true love, so as to fill the space of her late parents.. She has found someone who has shown her more loving which seemed to be until the end of time, her boyfriend, who later turned into a beast, started beating her and did not respect her feelings. The young woman stood to her stance of bravado, called on to God for help, but every way is the same thing.

Furthermore, she said that the she got pregnant and the boyfriend chased her away from their house. She had comfort from her best friend, whom she stayed with after moving from her boyfriend's house. One thing that she dislikes about him is that he never said sorry. She quoted that having a baby is not a curse, it is a blessing in disguise, from God. "Ladies, you are beautiful, be strong and bold in your hearts, do not let any man take advantage of you, believe in yourselves and follow your hearts. Be ambitious and do what is best for you", Ms Supang quoted.
Women, do not put up with it, you are worth more, if someone is making your life hell and miserable, do not put up with it. Women cannot fix an abusive relationship, the only option is to get out of it, and it is important to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel.

  1. please remember one thing, through every dark night, there is a bright day after that, so no matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep your head up, and things will turn out okay.
